About RAD
Radiation Assured Devices, Inc. (RAD) was founded in 2003, initially serving a select, captive requirement.
In order to better serve our customers, in January 2007 RAD acquired the Longmire Laboratory radiation test and qualification facility from ATK (Alliant Techsystems, Inc.) Mission Systems Group in Colorado Springs and has since upgraded and expanded those capabilities and services.
RAD's current capabilities include: Co-60, Cs-137, Neutron, Flash X-Ray/Prompt Dose Capabilities; Irradiation and Device Testing per MIL-STD-750E and MIL-STD-883G, Method 1019; Enhanced Low Dose Radiation Sensitivity (ELDRS) Testing; Radiation Lot Acceptance Testing (RLAT); Focal Plane Array Radiation, Characterization and Testing; Radiation Engineering and Component Qualification Planning; Wafer Lot Radiation Screening, Characterization, and Qualification; MIL-STD-750E and MIL-STD-883G Screening and Qualification of Advanced COTS Devices as well as Design Engineering for Radiation Hardened Devices.
RAD also offers the following support services: Quick-Turn Prototype IC Assembly; Chip Removal and Re-assembly for RAD Testing; Backside Chip Thinning and Re-assembly for Heavy Ion Radiation testing; PC Board Design, Quick-Turn Prototyping and Assembly as well as Laser Marking and Cutting.
RAD is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company and is currently working toward QML and DSCC certifications to satisfy the needs of our growing customer base. It is the vision and mission of RAD to be the supplier of choice for radiation assured device testing and engineering services.
